Rose_DrinkImpressions of the HERTZflimmern collaboration event in Mexico City

The night of October 14th was a night to remember. On this HERTZflimmern collaboration between Goethe-Institut Mexico, Rockets Music, ENSAMBLE and Monodata they chose an amazing and unique place to convene Monolake Live Surround, a project of Robert Henke, a German artist that can’t be ignored. He is one of the creators of Ableton Live. That and his 25 years of making electronic music makes him an artist to be remembered.

The night offered something for everybody. Early birds started the night with the sound of local artists such as Camille Mandoki, Nimma Ikki+Turning Torso, Lvis Mejía and Los Niños, or they could drink or eat something on some of the spots that were all around the dance floor.

We had the opportunity to experience a night that was like being in Berlin, an abandoned ice factory, full of new and old graffitis where we all made the NEAM an unforgettable party.

We danced with Skinnerbox and its jazz sounds mixed with electronic and funk music, the explosiveness of Aérea Negrot and the solid techno music of Monolake and Electric Indigo, that closed the night with around 1600 dancers that went in and out the whole night.

Thanks again to Rockets, Goethe-Institut and ENSAMBLE for making these new fresh options of night life in Mexico City.
